Snapping Tools

Snap tool allows items to be lined up and positioned easier, where you can select nodes drag and snap.

 

 

Off/On

  • The off/on button allows iStruct® users the capability of turning off and/or on the defaulted snap tools.
  • *Note: Snap tools are reset to the defaults every-time a user opens isPlan*

Auto Trim

  • - automatically expands if beam is moved

End Snap

  • - when in command allows to snap at end; works in conjunction with wall command

Perp Snap

  • - keeps straight across from selected item

Mid Snap

  • - allows item to be centred indicated by triangle when at midpoint. Eg  using mid snap for beam to keep centred on  length of walls.

Line Snap

  • enables snap points along the edges of polylines like walls, beams, etc.

Ortho (90ᵒ Increments)

  • - only allows snap at 90ᵒ angles

22.5ᵒ Angle Increments

  • - only allows snap at 22.5ᵒ angles

33° Angle Increments

  • -only allows snap at 33° angles

Wall Snap

  • -turns on wall snap

Beam Snap

  • - turns on beam snap

Ghost Snap

  • -turns on ability to snap to different ghosted levels

Obstruction Snap

  • - turns on obstructions snap

Web Hole Snap

  • - turns on web hole snap

Blocking Snap

  • -turns on blocking snap

Column Snap

  • -turns on column snap

Wall Opening Snap

  • enables snap point at the edges of openings in walls

Load Snap

  • -turns on load snap

Roof Plane Perimeter Snap

  • - turns on roof plane snap

Carve Walls on Imported CAD or PDF

  • - ability to draw your walls along that of your imported drawing.

Zoom Extends

  • -brings item back to set origin to see entire drawing

Zoom In

  • - make drawing closer

Zoom Out

  • -make drawing further

Pan

  • -allows move drawing up, down, left, right

 

*Wall, beam, ghost, obstruction, web hole, blocking, column, roof plane perimeter snap all work in conjunction with the following types of snaps: end, perpendicular, mid, ortho and 22.5ᵒ- these items must be turned on in order for the other options to work-*
